Grieg Foundation is a celebration of our responsibility to create a more compassionate society. The foundation owns 25 percent of the Grieg Group and has since its establishment supported national and international projects with more than 805 MNOK. The foundation is led by Ingvild Hestad.
«Springbrett til kultur» is a project that provides opportunities to try song writing, video production, slam poetry, and summer courses. We want young people to develop friendships, and become strong and happy people through participation in, and the practice and mastery of culture.
From 2021 to 2023 Grieg Foundation and CARE will give 2000 female entrepreneurs a chance to develop and expand their businesses thogh the programme DEAL – Developing Entrepreneurship and Literacy in Rwanda´s Southern Province.
Since 2019, Grieg Foundation and WWF have worked on a project to reduce plastic leakage from three major ports in and near Manila in the Philippines.
The Nobel Peace Center inspires students through peace education which uses Nobel laureates as role models. Our programs provide knowledge and build skills, so that students may enact positive and meaningful change.
Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread human rights violations of our time. FOKUS’ project “Living free from violence” will with the support of the Grieg Foundation strengthen mechanisms to tackle violence against women and girls in Tanzania and Guatemala.
