We welcome Ragnhild Janbu Fresvik to the Grieg Group as our Chief Investment Officer and managing director of Grieg Maturitas.

Ragnhild holds an MSc in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics and has outstanding experience as a leader in different industries. She comes from the positions as Executive Vice President Corporate Market of Sparebanken Vest. Ragnhild was the 2019-winner of the annual Sunniva Award, and in 2014 she was named leadership talent of the year by E24.

“The Grieg Group is one of the most exciting companies in Norway, with committed owners and employees who are passionate about making a difference. It is an inspiring turning point to join Grieg, actively working with great opportunities in the blue-green shift, investing in innovation and technology. I look forward to contributing together with skilled colleagues to realize the opportunities ahead”, says Ragnhild.

Ragnhild joins the Grieg Group from the 8th of August. Her responsibility will also include being the managing director of Grieg Kapital.

“Climate change is the biggest challenge of our time, and the Grieg Group will be part of the solution. That means developing our core business in a more sustainable direction and ensuring profitability in new projects across our companies. Ragnhild is a solid leader with long experience and knowledge of the industry, and we look forward to welcoming her to us. With her background and expertise, we ensure the desired development of the Grieg Group for the benefit of our employees, owners, and the societies in which we operate”, says Elisabeth Grieg, Chair of the Board of Grieg Maturitas and co-owner of the Grieg Group.

Ragnhild holds several board positions, such as Aars AS and Maritimt Forum. She is also Chair of the board of Eiendomsmegler Vest.

Ragnhild won the Sunniva-prize in 2019.

As Ragnhild joins the Grieg Group, Øistein Medlien is, as planned, resigning as CEO of Grieg Kapital, a position he has been holding since 2018.

“It has been an exciting journey being part of Grieg Kapital from the start. Our mission was to gather our owners’ investment priorities into one company and build a solid financial ground for the years to come. I’m glad we have succeeded and wish Ragnhild all the best in her new role” says Øistein.

“We are grateful for Øisteins’ commitment and contributions in setting up a consolidated investment vehicle in the Grieg Group, and wish him all the best when he is now re-joining Grieg Investor full-time as Senior Advisor”, says Stig Grimsgaard Andersen, Chair of Grieg Kapital and Grieg Investor.

We look forward to working with Ragnhild and welcoming her into the Grieg Group.
