Monday the 3rd of December Per Grieg jr. and Grieg Seafood was announced the national winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018.

The independent jury praised Per Grieg jr. for leading the company, which has established production facilities for farmed salmon in Rogaland and Finnmark in Norway as well as in Shetland, UK, and Canada.

Through strategic decisions, risk willingness and endurance, the winner has managed to become a significant player in the international market, EY stated. The jury also said Grieg had demonstrated innovation, growth and is a driving force in the industry for corporate and social responsibility. “The business is a significant contributor to a number of charitable purposes,” said EY.

Per Grieg and Grieg Seafood will be Norway’s candidate for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year in Monaco in 2019.
