The Grieg Group strengthens the team and hire Marte Leirvåg as new communications manager in Grieg Maturitas. The newly created position will be responsible for strategic and operational communication at the Group level.

Leirvåg joins from the position as communications advisor in Apriil (formerly NOR PR) and she has several years of experience from the area of communication in different roles. In addition, she has a background from Bergen politics, most recently as a spokesperson for schools for the political party Høyre in Bergen:
– Both in Apriil and in Bergen politics, I have had several meaningful years with good colleagues. Still, it was impossible to say no to an opportunity like this. This is an exciting position with more responsibility, and with an exciting assignment from the executive board and the owners to strengthen the communication work for the Grieg Group, says Leirvåg.
Grieg Maturitas’ Chair of the Board, Elisabeth Grieg, clearly states that the company needs to strengthen the professional team within communication to achieve ambitious goals over the coming years:
– We have made several changes at the Group level recently. We have done a lot of work within the area of sustainability, and are making the necessary changes to contribute to the green shift. Communication is a particularly important piece that needs to be in place to support this happening, and with the hiring of Marte, another piece falls into place, says Grieg.
Marte will start in her new role on 10th of August 2020
